Take a look at the major themes of this chapter, because they represent a fair share of the whole book.

Instead of commenting on the text, I decided to jot down a few questions I am asking and observations.   Generally, the search for the answers is where lessons are learned.

To help keep the scary images in this chapter in context, we need to remember that the Angel is referring to Babylon.   What town is that?  Is it literal or figurative?

In one chapter all seven bowls are poured out, and the earth is in turmoil.  When does this happen?  Will there be any Christians here at that time?

The seven plagues are about to be poured out, but just before that happens we are given another amazing glimpse inside heaven.

The beast that comes from the sea to do the bidding of the dragon has the same number of heads and horns.  Although his crowns are on the horns.
