Monday
This reminds me of our inner self. The part that no one truly knows, except God. Only God knows what is in our hearts and on our minds. Only God can judge whether we true and obedient. Only God can know the sincerity of our actions. There is nothing about ourselves that we can hide from Jesus, He knows everything.
In this way then, all of our lives – the public and the private parts are equally important in the eyes of God. Look at 1 Kings 7:45-51. Look at all the items that they were told to make. Don’t get caught up in all the gold – that’s not what is important. It’s the everyday, useful items they are told to craft. Things like pots, and shovel, and bowls. Items that would have been used in menial functions.
I find it very interesting as I read about all the details of the building and its furnishings, that God is just as concerned over the little things as He is over the big things. Everything we do, is important to God. Everything.
I’ve heard people say, “oh that’s nothing big, I won’t bother God about that,.. I just pray about the big things”. I would suggest that God is; first of all, capable of handling it all, and second; that He wants us to come to him with the mundane and the everyday situations and happenings in our lives. Not just to ask, but to also give praise. Meet God when no one else can see. Meet God with an open heart, and a repentant heart.
Praising God that He cares about it all!
