February 1, 2016 (Monday)
I cannot believe that Pharaoh is so deceived by his power that every time a plague is presented he gets – “oh woe is me” and begs Moses to put a stop to it, then right away as soon as it is gone… he changes his mind. I wonder if there have been times when we use God like that? I’ll follow Him as long as He does what I want Him to, or we turn to Him only when we are faced with troubles or trials, but as soon as things get better, I no longer have time for Him. Hummm?
So the plagues begin. I don’t know if you are aware of the significance behind the plagues, but each one is an attack on one of the Egyptian gods or goddesses. So God is showing the Egyptians and Pharaoh who is more powerful.

It is going to take a bit more to finally get Pharaoh to really let the people go, because God wants them not to just leave, but to leave with everything. But more on that later.
Blessings on the day!
