As an elder myself, I have many questions as I read this passage.
1 Peter 4

It occurs to me that these chapters in 1 Peter have enough doctrine and practical application to base your whole life on.
Titus 3
I suppose that if we all followed Paul’s advice to Titus most political campaigns would lose 80% of their material.

What a crew the people of Crete must have been. If you have to tell the older women to quit getting drunk that can only mean that they were doing it. That’s not an image I want in my head, or in my family tree for that matter.

Paul gives some great advice on selecting leaders here. I see his requirements as a challenge to do better.
