Sometimes reading the same account written by two different authors can provide insight.  Other times it raises questions.   Along with both of those, today’s reading is sure to inspire awe!

This account details how Solomon built the temple.  It certainly was a costly endeavor….even the nails were made of gold.    Gold nails? Seriously?

Encapsulated within today’s reading is a list of 30 wise sayings.   Things like this should be taught in school.  Why in the world do we teach our children how to read, write and calculate, but we neglect teaching them how to grow socially and spiritually?   These readings are great character building tips!

Have you ever heard the old adage “haste makes waste”?   That’s right, it comes from Proverb 19.   I wonder what else is in there?…

Good morning all.  There is much to absorb in our reading today, and I confess it isn’t coming as quickly this AM as I would prefer.  I think I will “marinate” in the reading today before I make any notes on it.   Enjoy!

“Without oxen the stable stays clean, but you need a strong ox for a large harvest”.    I’m glad I read this today.  I already knew it, but I had forgotten.   That’s the simple beauty of reading through the Bible, it helps you remember things you already knew, but had forgotten….as well as teaching you new things.
