I think we find in our reading today the most profound statement ever uttered in the Gospel.

As a mother, I find it hard not to relate to Mary and to empathize with what she must have been going through.

This is such a powerful chapter, there are so many things happening all at once.

These three lessons are all saying the same thing. Do you know what it is?

Wow, I don’t know about you, but I think Jesus is a little angry.

So as I was reading today, verse 16 sort of jumped out at me. How badly did they want Jesus gone that the Pharisees with align themselves with the Herodians?

And so it begins. This is one of the highest moments of drama in the entire Gospel. Can you picture the excitement?

Jesus, you aren’t being fair… have you ever wondered just what does being fair mean?

Why do we continue to try to do everything in our own strength?

We have been given a couple of pretty direct commandment here by Jesus and he’s very serious about it.

I just want to tell Peter to settle down, enjoy the moment.

I have never been known to be a great cook or baker,

So today is a pretty important day in the life of the United States. Once again we have a new president being sworn into office. My prayer today, is for him and for our country and its leaders, may we all remember to look to Jesus first and follow Him.

So how do you feed 5,000 people or walk on water?

Jesus does a lot of wonderful teaching in this one chapter and shares many good parables and insights.

Have you ever noticed how people are always looking for a sign? Some sort of proof?

So yesterday, Jesus tells us to pick up our cross, because the cost of discipleship is difficult, then today he says “my yoke is easy and my burden in light.” What is going on here? Which way is it?

Boy the flood waters have risen high around us here in Youngsville.

So we continue to read about all these wonderful things that Jesus has done for the people in the bible, but have you ever sat down and thought about all the wonderful things Jesus has done for you?

In our reading today we find many miracles being performed by Jesus.

Jesus’ sermon continues today with more helpful instructions on how to live a godly life.

Have you ever wondered if God already knows what I am going to ask for, why do I need to pray?

Well, isn’t Jesus just filled with so many contradictions? – What?!? Did I just say that?

What could possibly happen on an ordinary, average day? Could Jesus show up on your doorstep? Your work?
